Pillar 02 — IT Automation & Data

IT Infrastructure

Reliable technology behind every great stay.

Overview

What we build.

Guests notice when Wi-Fi is slow. Front-desk staff notice when the PMS freezes. Owners notice when security cameras fail at the wrong moment. Hotel IT only gets attention when it breaks — and when it breaks, it can break a stay, a shift or a property's reputation.

We treat infrastructure as a first-class responsibility. Our service makes sure every system that guests, staff and leadership depend on runs reliably, securely and quietly in the background.

Section 01

What We Manage

Networks & Connectivity

  • Property-wide internet connectivity, redundancy and bandwidth management
  • Network segmentation separating guest Wi-Fi from staff and back-office systems
  • VPN setup for secure remote access by leadership and IT
  • ISP vendor management — contracts, renewals and SLAs

Guest Wi-Fi

  • High-density, reliable Wi-Fi across guest rooms, common areas and outdoor spaces
  • Captive portals with secure authentication and usage policies
  • Bandwidth management to prevent any one guest from disrupting others
  • Quality monitoring with alerts when performance drops below threshold

Point-of-Sale (POS)

  • Front-desk POS for room charges, deposits and incidentals
  • Restaurant or convenience POS where applicable
  • PCI-DSS compliant payment terminals
  • PMS integration so charges flow automatically into folios

Security & Surveillance

  • IP-based camera systems with cloud-backed recording
  • Door-access systems — electronic key cards and mobile keys
  • Alarm systems, fire panels and emergency communication
  • Access logs and audit trails for regulatory compliance

Workstations & Devices

  • Front-desk computers, back-office workstations and management laptops
  • OS patching, security updates and antivirus management
  • Printer, scanner and peripheral support
  • Mobile devices for housekeeping and maintenance staff

Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • Automated backups of critical systems (PMS, accounting, guest data)
  • Disaster recovery planning for ransomware, hardware failure and natural events
  • Regular restoration tests to make sure backups actually work

Section 02

Why Hotel IT Is Uniquely Challenging

  • 24/7 operations — there's no maintenance window where everyone's gone home
  • Guest-facing reliability — Wi-Fi outages immediately become review problems
  • Mixed user populations — guests, staff, vendors and contractors on the same property
  • Multi-property distribution — small issues become big when spread across sites
  • Payment compliance — every system touching cards must be PCI-DSS compliant
  • Tight budgets — independents can't afford enterprise IT departments

Section 03

How We Approach Infrastructure

01

Standardize Across Properties

Wherever possible, we standardize hardware, software and configurations across every property — faster troubleshooting, easier vendor relationships, simpler training and lower long-term costs.

02

Monitor Proactively

We monitor network uptime, Wi-Fi performance, server health, payment terminals and camera recording — and respond to alerts before guests or staff notice anything is wrong.

03

Document Everything

Every property's network diagram, vendor contracts, system credentials and emergency procedures are documented and centralized.

04

Plan for Failure

Hardware fails. Internet drops. Vendors miss SLAs. Our design assumes failure and builds redundancy and fallback procedures into every critical system.

05

First-Line Support, On Site

Our IT team provides first-line support for staff across all properties — front-desk issues, printer problems, login resets, hardware replacements. Bigger issues get escalated quickly.
